Prayer for
Healing

Holding Hands

Healing and Caring

Mi Shebeirach is the prayer for physical and emotional healing. You can recite it daily at home for yourself and all those who are in need of God’s healing power. It is also said during the Friday evening Shabbat Service. If you would like a Mi Shebeirach recited on your behalf, please contact the Temple office to let us know. Your name will be read aloud at Shabbat services before we recite the prayer. If you know another person who needs the same, please ask the individual for permission to read his/her name before contacting us.

Rabbi Appel and our Caring Committee are always here and available to provide support as well.

Mi Shebeirach

May the One who blessed our ancestors, Sarah and Abraham, Rebecca and Isaac, Leah, Rachel and Jacob bless (insert name here) along with all of the ill among us. Grant insight to those who bring healing, courage and faith to those who are sick, love and strength to us and to all who love them. God, let your spirit rest upon all who are ill and comfort them. May they and we soon know a time of complete healing, a healing of the body and a healing of the spirit and let us say: Amen.

Mi She-bei-rach Avo-teinu Mekor Ha-bracha L’imo-teinu
May the Source of strength
Who blessed the ones before us
Help us find the courage
To make our lives a blessing,
And let us say: Amen.

Mi She-bei-rach Imo-teinu Mekor Ha-bracha L’Avo-teinu
Bless those in need of healing
With refuah shleima:
The renewal of body,
The renewal of spirit,
And let us say: Amen
